Our client, a venture capital firm, is seeking a Legal Counsel team member to join their legal team. This person will play a critical role in supporting their legal team and will work closely with the firm’s broader back-office team.
Responsibilities:
- Support the General Counsel & Senior Legal Counsel in all aspects of the legal function.
- Review and negotiate a variety of agreements, such as investment documents, vendor agreements, NDAs, advisory, and consulting agreements.
- Provide support for enforcing, evaluating, and drafting investment policies, guidelines, and compliance measures.
- Take on a broad range of corporate counsel responsibilities, including partnering with People Ops on employment matters and collaborating on workplace policies and procedures.
- Review and negotiate a variety of agreements, such as investment documents, vendor agreements, NDAs, advisory, and/or consulting agreements.
- Support fund-side matters (i.e., draft side letters, review subscription documents, collaborate with Investor Relations on diligence).
- Partner closely with Legal Operations to improve standard form agreements and legal processes over time.

Requirements:
- JD required. Bar admission and in good standing in at least one state, preferably California.
- ~2+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience.
- In person in our SF office at least four days a week.
Compensation:
The estimated annual base salary for this position is $200,000 – $225,000 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, skills, and qualifications.
